First-time setup

  1. Download and unzip the package. Move the simplseason-extension folder somewhere permanent, such as Documents.
  2. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder containing manifest.json. Disable any older duplicate copy of SimplSeason Sync.
  4. Sign into GameChanger and open a team page. Open SimplSeason Sync from Chrome’s Extensions menu.
  5. Choose Connect to SimplSeason, sign in or create your own account, and approve Connect browser. Return to GameChanger and choose Sync Season.

When an update is available

The extension checks for changes when you open its panel. A notice links back here when the deployed build differs from your installed download.

  1. Finish any running sync, then download and unzip the latest package.
  2. Copy the files inside the new folder into your existing extension folder, replacing the old files. Keep the same folder path; don’t nest a second folder inside it.
  3. At chrome://extensions, click SimplSeason Sync’s Reload icon. Refresh your GameChanger tab and reopen the extension.

Don’t remove and reinstall the extension for routine updates. Keeping the same folder and extension preserves the browser connection. Beta downloads do not install updates automatically.
